Chameleons of Culture

How did a rapping/rocking fusion performer from Detroit become a Conservative Country Confederate?

I am still curious to know why some feel the need to display their disdain for a lifestyle other than heterosexual.  If a company supports a non-heterosexual icon, some people feel obligated to let everyone know that they want that company to go out of business.  They get aroused by pouring items down the drain (that they have already purchased) or wasting ammo shooting up Bud Light cans (that they have already purchased).

In my previous post, I mentioned folks keeping receipts.  The image below shows he wasn't always against Bud Light and Crossdressers (ironic how he is wearing a Coors Light cap).

I think this is the case of "Racist Uncle Syndrome" or just RUS.

There are a few folks out there that will admit that they may have a borderline racist relative that is known to make controversial statements at family gatherings.  Although they will proudly admit that they do not agree with that relative, they will treat the relative respectfully out of respect for the family.  Now imagine if that relative hit the lottery.  Suddenly you will notice a few of the other relatives being more agreeable with someone they formally dismissed.  They offer to make the racist relative a plate with extra potato salad.

I ask again, how did a rapping/rocking fusion performer from Detroit become a Conservative Country Confederate?  Did the folks in Michigan back in 1860 fight for General Lee?  What has changed?  His racist Uncle got elected President, that's all.  He has to cater to his crowd (what's left of it).  His country crowd got "MAGAtized."

Yes, it is true that Kid Rock was never considered a serious rapper.  Yes, it is true that Kid Rock started getting into semi-Country music prior to Trump taking office, but do you think Sheryl Crow would have recorded a song with him if he acted back then how he acts now?
