Castrating the Truck Nut Demographic

The Truck Nut demographic will eventually have to run for the hills, if they are not there already.  This is the demographic that gets really upset when any race, other than their own, express grievances in the United States of America.  This is the demographic that thinks any race, other than their own, living in this Country is an invited guest and can be sent home at any time.  This is the demographic that only feels the need to say "all lives matter" whenever someone from any race says "black lives matter."

Being a member of the Truck Nut demographic is not as popular as it used to be.  They are starting to get shunned.  They are starting to lose their jobs.  They are losing friends that don't look and think like them.  Instead of getting away with stuff, they are now getting recorded, called out, fired or arrested for what they do.

Isn't weird how members of the Truck Nut demographic thrive in rural areas where there is a lack of diversity like the urban areas?  The answer to that rhetorical is no.  They will eventually become the Taliban of the United States of America.  Like the Taliban, the Truck Nut demographic is obsessed with the ways of old, the way things used to be in America.  Like the Taliban, the truck nut demographic used to run this country but now are losing popularity and struggling to find recruits.  For now they will have to settle on their continued efforts to hold the Republican party hostage.

The biggest difference between ANTIFA protests and Truck Nut protests is I don't see as many automatic weapons at the ANTIFA protests...yet Trump wants to classify them as thugs and terrorists.

Black Lives Matter is a movement.  All Lives Matter is a dismissive reaction to that movement.  What the movement and the reaction have in common is that they are both missing a word or phrase afterwards.  Black Lives Matter is missing the word "Too" at the end of it, but it is already implied.  At least, that is how I interpret it when people say it.  All Lives Matter is missing the phrase "So Shut-up" at the end of it.  At least, that is how I interpret it when people say it.

I have a few friends on Facebook that are members of the Truck Nut demographic.  I have noticed that they became counterfeiting experts and  forensic pathologists when looking into the arrest and death of George Floyd.  I find it amazing that although his death was caught on camera, there are still people giving the police officer the benefit of the doubt.  I have noticed that their support for law enforcement elevates every time a conflict between a Cop and a Citizen hits the news.  I have noticed that they admonish the rioting but mention nothing about what caused the protests in the first place.

I don't hate this demographic.  I feel pity for them.  I car pooled with one of them.  I went to Super Bowl parties with another.  It amazes me how many members of the church I used to go to subscribe to the Truck Nut paradigm.  They feel as if they cannot be classified as a racist or a bigot because they are not an active member of the Klan or they have not personally mistreated a person of color.  They are in denial of who they really are and they give themselves away by how they react to the news.  To them, rogue cops are labeled as a "few bad apples" but they are quick to admonish an entire protest because a "few bad apples" decide to destroy property.

I like how these folks will respect a small business for turning down Homosexual customers because of their religious beliefs but shun a small business for making them wear a mask during a pandemic.  I like how these folks disregard the law when it comes social distancing requirements but applaud the law when it comes to curfews for the Black Lives Matter protests.  You can tell someone is in denial about their own cognitive dissonance by how they react when they are called out on it.

The truck nut demographic will never go extinct.  People are always going to hang out with folks that agree with them.  People will always teach their children to think like them.  One of my favorite members of this demographic I have known since I was in elementary school.  Even as a nine year old in elementary school, he complained that there was no White History month, but he only did this during the month of February.  It wasn't until after Black Entertainment Television (BET) hit the airways he felt I should provide him an explanation as to why there wasn't a White Entertainment Television (WET?)  If he hasn't already, he will most likely teach his children to think and act the same way.  "If White people can't have it, no one else can."

I like the direction this Country is heading.  It took the combination of a life altering pandemic and several recorded instances of police brutality to expose a broken system.  It is growing more and more unpopular to be a bigot.  It is getting harder for rogue Police Officers to get away with abusing their power.  It is damn near impossible for good ol' boys to lynch like they used to, even in the South.  People are starting to think twice about calling the police on minorities that aren't committing crimes.  Not only are these folks getting in trouble, but the people willing to help them get away with it are getting in trouble too.  These transgressions are no longer getting swept under the rug by the establishment.  The camcorder that captured Rodney King's beating 29 years ago exposed the rug for the world to see, the use of cell phone cameras will eventually make the rug vanish.
