Black Privilege

I am going to try to say this as "politically correct" as possible:  There are some Caucasians that are so jealous of Minorities, that they are even jealous of the discrimination Minorities face.

I'll come clean:  I didn't have to go through what my ancestors, grandparents, and even parents had to go through.  I never had to drink from a colored drinking fountain.  I never had to sit in the back of a bus.  I never had fire hoses sprayed on me while police dogs attacked.  I never had to walk past protesters while trying to attend a newly integrated school.  But I do reserve the right to roll my eyes when I hear Caucasians complain about racism and inequality.

The people that were offended at Beyonce's half-time Superbowl performance three months ago are pretty much the same people that feel inconvenienced by pressing 1 for English on customer service lines.  They were the same people that complained about BET and the fact that there is no WET (White Entertainment Television).  They are the same people that complain that there is no White History Month.  These are the same people that complain that "White Privilege" doesn't exist.

Don't you understand that complaining about stuff not being "white" is white privilege in itself?
Growing up in predominantly white Vacaville, California, I was faced with these questions all the time.  I had to be the Spokesman for the Black Race for all curious pre-teen Caucasians in that town.  My all time favorite was "if you guys can call each other the "n" word, why can't we?"  Really? Are you jealous that they can call each other something that you can't???  Were you appalled when Larry Wilmore jokingly referred to Obama as "my Nigga" at the 2016 Correspondents Dinner?  Are you appalled at the fact that if Larry Wilmore was a White Man, he could not pull off the same joke?

You have the right to free speech just like your employer has the right to fire you for saying stupid shit.
Maybe it's because it is not typical for an Black person to call his white cohort the same thing in response.  Some "Girlfriends" that are really comfortable with each other call their other female friends "Bitch" and "Slut" out of fun, but do you think they would allow that from one of their Male acquaintances?  I think not.  The truth is, I've never been a big fan of the "n" word, whether the user is using it as an insult nor as a term of endearment.

Here's the truth for White Privilege people that are pissed off about Beyonce's halftime show:  Please give me an example of when a Black Panther Party member assaulted you or one of your ancestors.  Give me an example of when a Black Panther bombed a white church, which would be one of those churches they would not allow blacks (which is something Jesus would do.. right?).  Give me an example of when the Black Panthers used terror to intimidate white people to not vote?  Give me an example of a Black Panther lynching of a white man...and got away with it.  Give me an example of when a bunch of Black Panthers murdered a White Kid for whistling at a Black Girl.  Why in the world are the jealous majority comparing the Black Panthers to the Klan?

What the hell do you mean by "you people?"  Just kidding...I think...
Maybe because you are in denial of your jealousy...you need to harp on the only group that refused to "turn the other cheek" back in the day where there was no social media.  Some of the Black Panthers were not satisfied with MLK's non-violent response to racial injustice.  However, they answered violence with violence but that does not equate Beyonce's performance to the Black version of the KKK.  The KKK was proactive with violence, the Black Panthers were reactive.  Huge difference.

Truth be told!  Karma Reaper is a black man happily married to a white woman.  I'm not happily married because she is white.  I am happily married because I am in love with her and she puts up with all of my bullshit and excessive video game playing.  She watched the halftime show...and the only thing that offended her was me drooling over Beyonce.  She did not feel as if Black Panthers were going to kill her the following day.  She did not feel as if Beyonce was declaring war on police officers.

WHEN YOU ARE ACCUSTOMED TO PRIVILEGE, EQUALITY FEELS LIKE OPPRESSION.

Black Privilege:  The right to complain about discrimination.

White Privilege:  The right to complain about Black Privilege.
